DIY Wood welcome sign

As you might know, I recently moved from Austria to Indiana! And I have been super busy decorating our new home. Just last week our container full of furniture arrived. Which means, that I was really entertained unpacking and organizing. And yes, this is my excuse for my blog absence. I’m not happy I couldn’t blog, but I was really busy in an amazing way!
One of the things that I did not have, and really wanted to put on our entrance door was a welcome sign… a wood welcome sign! After looking around and only finding really expensive wreaths, I decided to make something by my own. I spent a few hours at one of my favorite stores, Michael’s while also looking for some inspiration at Pinterest. One of the signs I loved the most was a wooden one very similar to this one, so I decided to make my own! All I needed was a piece of wood, chalkboard paint and a readyscrew. After 2 hands of paint, it was done and hanging on my door! The best part is… I can change the welcome message and go for more creative things, or maybe a cute Happy Easter or Knock! ![]()
