The last weeks have been amazing! I spent most of the time working really hard for Novelstyle shop. The photoshoot and product pictures are all done, so it will be just a few days until you get to see everything, including the store! I cannot wait And to give you a sneak peek… in this outfit I’m showing a sneak peek of one of the dresses. This ethnic dress has such a comfortable fit! Perfect for strolling around the beach on a summery day. And the opened detail on the sleeves makes it even better! The last two days have been kind of cold in Indiana, but gladly, the 4th of July was a gorgeous day! What made it perfect was that my roommate from college came over and stayed over for a few days… we got to do a bunch of things, including mini-golf and going to the 49er drive-in, one of my favourite places in NWI!

You know that moment when you go grocery shopping and you are feeling very …healthy? So you buy tons of fruits and veggies. Well, that happened to me a few days ago… I got all kinds of berries… and they all got wasted before I could even have some! The only ones that were still ok were the strawberries, but I was not in the mood of strawberries with sugar. So I decided to bake something with them! I tried a chocolate muffin recipe with strawberries inside. It turned out great! I added some ice cream, and felt very healthy afterwards

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of sugar

6 tbsp butter

4 eggs

1/2 cup of flour

1/2 cup of cocoa powder

2 cups of strawberries

Confectioners’ sugar

Directions:

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

- Mix butter and sugar on medium until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, and chocolate and mix until everything is well combined.

- Pour the mix in the muffin cups and add a few strawberries inside each. I decided to cut the strawberries, but you could also put them full! Bake for around 10 min, until toothpick comes out clean and let them cool. Put some strawberries and confectioners sugar on top and enjoy!

Ok, seems that I’m very much in love with Old Navy and Keds! I did not realise till now how many dresses I got this summer… but they are all so cute and comfy, kinda irresistible! And my Cedar Street Maise handbag in Geranium matches all of them, it actually works with anything in my closet… it is such a perfect shade! I’m absolutely in love with the shade and perfect size of this one! And it gets so many compliments… which I find super funny cause I bought it after seeing a girl with a similar Kate Spade bag in the same shade. But enough about my summery looks, there are so many things I want to tell you but I can’t (yet!). I already mentioned that soon I will open my own store at novelstyleshop.com. But what I did not say is that it will come with a huge blog makeover! A new logo, a new layout and beautiful images… can’t wait for you to meet the new Novelstyle!

There are so many things I want to tell you! In the next few months there will be some changes around here, the biggest one is novelstyleshop.com! I do not want to ruin the surprise, but I can tell you that Im working very hard to create something new and completely different. Hopefully, it will be ready around mid-July! Also, summer is here… and with that comes all the music festivals, drive in movie theatres and markets. I love strolling around the markets while enjoying some delicious food while wearing my straw boater hat. But my all time favourite activity for this summer is the 49er Drive in! Last weekend I was there for the very first time, and it was amazing! There is something magical about watching a movie outdoors during sunset.

Back in april, to celebrate my birthday… I decided to splurge and get some things at Kate Spade. I’m absolutely obsessed with everything they have but never considered buying their clothes, as they are the same price as the bags… and I will always go for the handbag! But once I tried these pieces on, I just couldn’t resist them! I first picked the handbag… I’ve been obsessed with this geranium shade since I first saw it at the store. Then I got the blouse… which I was really excited to see that comes in bigger sizes! Also, I found out they make jeans… and that they are super comfy and high-waisted! But I did not stop there, I also got a few accessories and a wallet! It was a good birthday, but Indiana did not let me wear the top until now… and the fact that I wore all three pieces together was honestly just a coincidence!

Summer is almost here!!!

One of my favourite places in Northwest Indiana are the Dunes. I love the Lakeview Drive and beach. Actually, all the drive to Beverly Shores is so beautiful! And now that I removed the roof out of my jeep it is just perfect! Funny thing about this little new obsession of mine is that my arms are now all red and I have a sun mark from the short sleeve!

Another cool thing is that Lemon is allowed to enter the beach! To be honest, she was a little bit concerned with the sand… and the fact that her water bowl was full of sand. But I think she enjoyed it! Even though she actually refused to sit on top of the sand As soon as I put the straw mat she was all over it!

I’m finally back home! I spent the last two weeks in Buenos Aires, and to be honest… I did not take too many pictures. Just the ones I shared on Instagram and some more from my friend’s wedding. So, I will just tell you that my trip was amazing… and that I was in most of the places that I already shared during the last 3 years BTW! I’m still in shock that my blog will turn 3 soon! What can I do to celebrate?

When in Chicago, we took Lemon with us… and I think she already became a garden doggie… cause the big city was way too exhausting for her! She would stop walking after just a few blocks! Im quite excited we were able to capture her adorable yawn! The one she used to do as a puppy whenever I woke up to find her all full of poop and pee.

One of the most exciting things about being back home… besides the fact that I’m back with my hubby and doggie… is that it is almost pool season! Before I left I was able to wear this baseball dress and sandals, and even though it was hot in Argentina… I wanted to enjoy Indiana’s spring and summer! And now that I’m back… it is coldish and cloudy! Not cool!

The reason why I was in Chicago was the #BlogHer15 Meet up!

During this Meet up presented by Sheknows media, in preparation for the upcoming #BlogHer15 Experts among us Conference (here) that will take place July 16-18 in NYC! Sadly, I won’t be able to attend, as I already have another event scheduled for the date… but I could join the meetup and meet a bunch of bloggers from the Chicago area and even get to chat with Elisa Camahort, BlogHer‘s Co-founder!!! The event took place at Las Tablas, a Colombian Steak House. If you ever go there order something called Carimañoles… they are fried-dough balls filled with meat. I honestly couldn’t stop devouring them! Some of the friendly gals I met are Keesha from Mom’ s New Stage and Gracielle from Mommy A-Z 

And if you are wondering where my dress is from… I can only tell you that it is related to the upcoming project I can’t talk about… and that soon you will find out more about it!

Hello sunshines! Once again, I feel like it’s been ages since my last post. I have many excuses… but all I can say is that 2015 is a very busy year! With a new city to call home, family members deciding to visit this new place and tons of work for an upcoming project… I have been more than entertained! Now I’m in Argentina for a few days. I came over for a friend’s wedding… which is tonight!!! I’m so excited! I think I will cry all night long!

Before flying to Argentina, I spent a weekend in Chicago. If you follow me on Instagram, you must have seen the gorgeous view from my hotel room! We were really lucky to have a gorgeous weather… it was the first time I did not need a jacket while in Chicago! How exciting is that?! I even had the chance to wear a few dresses… but more on that next week!
