Spring is here!

As I’m writing this post, I can’t stop wondering how american is the combination of Old Navy and Keds. Both brands define the casual american look. Old Navy is part of Gap and opened in 1994, but Keds story is more interesting and goes all the way to 1916! I think it’s amazing how popular they are and how long they have been in the market. I remember when I first found out about them… back when Mischa Barton was the face of the brand. I loved them! And luckily, a few designs were available in Argentina Years later, I’m still obsessed… and they have a Taylor Swift collection! Cannot get better than that

While I work in this post… I will confess… that I’m listening to… the Annie soundtrack! I know… I do not have an excuse. I do not have kids nor am I 8 years old. But I do spend a lot of time in Target, and they had It’s the hard-knock life on 24/7! Once I purchased that, I had to buy all Sia songs and Tomorrow… and by then I could just purchase the whole album for like 2dls. So now I’m listening to it… it is such a feel-good album. Perfect for lazy mornings… and for when cleaning the house I also purchased the God help the girl soundtrack. Now I;m really curious on what iTunes will recommend me!

I feel like my music taste defines my style. I love country music, that’s my favorite! I love Johnny Cash, Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan. But the one and only that can get all my money is Taylor Swift. Then I like Mumford and Sons and anything with a Banjo on it. I also love soundtracks from musicals and the Top 40… I like dancing and singing with the radio on any Top 40 station. So… that reflected to my closet would be… hippie-like dresses, very Anthropologie. Cowboy boots, of course. Childish items and peter pan collars. Broken jeans. And sturdy, vintage-looking handbags. I own a few funny and childish ones with bear faces. Any handbag from Kate Spade fits in my closet perfectly! And every once in a while, I fall for a trend… a top 40 trend that I play with and get rid of asap!!!

I’m so excited! Spring is finally here! Flowers are blooming… and I even could buy some beautiful ones at Home Depot! The season for BBQ’s and sandals is here… and I couldn’t be happier. Today I wanted to show you my go-to spring look for busy days. I can finally wear my Zara sneakers, that I got like 6 months ago, and go out without a jacket, just my super cute Pete the Panda sweatshirt (which is meant to be for loungewear, but oh well!). The moment I saw those cute little Pandas in the elbow I knew I had to buy this top and wear it outside the house!

This was not my first Easter in the US, but it was the first time I could see how Easter is here. From going to lunch and having the Easter bunny walking around the tables, to taking Lemon to get her picture taken with the Easter bunny (here). I could see how many entertaining things there are during Easter and how many adorable things are available at the stores! I still feel like I need to buy this garden decoration! I also found out how many gifts kids get here and feel like I was fooled by just getting chocolate as a kid, but to be honest… I did miss the Chocolate eggs full of candies and toys that are not allowed here. For my Easter outfit I decided to go spring and pink! Luckily the weather helped and we had a wonderful weekend full of ice cream and candies

After some days without posting, I’m finally back… full time! With my old schedule, pinky swear! I have been super busy and really entertained in this beautiful new place I call home. I moved to Indiana on January 1st, and since then I have been doing tons of paperwork, decorating the new home, and playing tourist with my husband! Also, my mom was here so I had the opportunity to play tourist guide with her… though I have to admit that I barely know the area! While my mom was here, we visited Chicago and did some touristic things over there… like taking selfies with The Bean at Millennium Park. It was so much fun!! I thought it would be a tourist cliche… but I loved it! We also walked around Magnificient Mile, which was totally crowded. I did not buy much, just a gift for a friend and some Benefit makeup which I will show you soon!

“Babbidi – Bobbidi – Boo!”

A few days ago I decided it was time to go back to Kohl’s for some fun shopping. I love going there for clothes, mostly for the LC Lauren Conrad ones… so it was a dream come true when I entered and saw the Cinderella by LC collection! I immediately grabbed almost every piece and luckily (?) most of them did not work on me! I think this was a good thing cause otherwise I would have purchased everything! The blue dress with the huge bow in the back was so beautiful, kinda wish it would have fit me better. I ended up buying two pieces of the collection, a lovely top with flying butterflies and a flowery midi skirt. Sadly I won’t be able to wear them till june cause it is freezing in Indiana. I honestly don’t understand why they have all the spring stuff… I kinda wanna buy more warm clothes, but instead I came back from my fun shopping day with a sleeveless top, a summery skirt and some espadrilles! And I’m already looking for swimsuits… I mean, have you seen my last post? I’m covered in snow and still… checking for swimsuits! Crazy!

Oh! And they already have some things from this beautiful collection on sale… so hurry before it turns into a pumpkin! ^^

We had winter in Austria, but that was nothing compared to this! Indiana’s winter is the mother of all winters… and I have been to Iceland, which is supposed to be super cold. But even though the days are freezing and windy, and the floors are super slippery, I’m absolutely in love with my new home! And my new walk-in closet, where I spend most of my morning trying to figure out how to dress for these very cold days. My secret? Layers, layers and more layers!

I feel like it’s been ages since my last post! Don’t wanna give excuses, but I was super busy studying for my driving knowledge exam. In case you are wondering, I passed! And I’m now the proud owner of a Learner’s license… which means I’m only allowed to drive with my husband. Gladly, by summer I will be able to drive alone… and maybe do some shopping trips! Yay! A girl can dream!!! Mostly when that girl is trapped in her house and all she can see is snow (There is proof on Instagram!). No complaining here… I love snow, I have internet and cable, and my home is warm, but I can’t wait to go to Marshall’s and Tj Maxx :D. Also, the container with my furniture from Austria should arrive soon… so by the end of the month I will be able to share some pictures of my new home! Can’t wait

Little by little, I have been checking all the stores around here. My favorite one is Target… but I also love Kohl’s! The Lauren Conrad collection is so beautiful! I even shared on Instagram a gorgeous bedding set that sadly was only available in queen size. I tried a bunch of things on, but as I’m already spending a lot on decoration for the new home I decided to limit myself to two purchases, that ended up being even cheaper at checkout! (I love Kohl’s sales!) One of my picks was this adorable love birds sweater, it was only 15 dls and I thought I would not be able to wear it for at least another month. But nature surprised with a beautiful weather! By now, the snow in the picture is almost gone… and hopefully I get to wear this sweater again this weekend ^^

It might be January 19th, but it’s never too late to post the first outfit of the year!!! Ok.. maybe it is a little bit too late, but in my defense… it was really cold! And I was super busy! Moving is not for lazy people. We had so much to do in the last days! But do not worry… I’m not whining, I absolutely love it here! The last days had been warm and sunny, really beautiful! I’m still wearing one of the warmest things I have. This black and red sweater used to belong to my mom, but as Buenos Aires got warmer, I inherited it! I love the stripes on the sides and it’s cute little collar.
